Homework help · Math and English · K to 12 · North Vancouver · Kitsilano
Bring tonight's homework. Work through it with a tutor beside you.
- Your child works through their school math or English homework at Keats, not at the kitchen table at 9 pm
- The tutor teaches any concept that is unclear, then helps as your child works. The aim is understanding, not just answers.
- When the homework is finished, the hour goes to a Keats booklet built from their learning plan
- Classes 7 days a week. $199 per month per subject, plus GST. No contract.
What counts as homework
Any math or English assignment, reading, essay, worksheet, quiz or test review from any North Shore or West Side school, in the subject your child is enrolled in. Keats Monthly Membership is math and English. We help with the homework in the subject your child is enrolled in.
How a Keats class works
Your child, their tutor, and a tutor assistant in the room. One hour, on paper, at a desk.
School homework first
They bring their homework and classwork. The tutor teaches any concept that is unclear, then your child works through the homework with help right there whenever they need it. The aim is understanding, not just answers.
Then their Keats booklet
Written from their learning plan and the BC curriculum. It closes any gap, keeps them ahead when they are ahead, and gives extra practice on the topic they just covered.
A lesson note every week
What was covered, where your child is, what comes next, in your Keats Parent Account. Nothing to chase at pickup, nothing to guess at before the next report card.
When there is no homework
The hour goes to Keats booklets built from your child's learning plan on the BC curriculum, so no class is wasted. Most weeks it is both: homework first, booklet after.
The lesson note
After every class you get a written note in your Keats Parent Account: what was covered, what comes next, and how your child did. Nothing to chase at pickup.

Will my child get enough attention?
Yes. One tutor and one tutor assistant work with every 4 to 6 students, and each student is taught at their own desk on their own material. After every class you get a written note on what your child worked on and how it went.
Do you do the homework for them?
No. The tutor teaches the concept and checks the work. Your child does the work.
What if there is no homework this week?
Then the hour goes to Keats booklets built from your child's learning plan, so no class is wasted.
Can you help with science or French homework?
Keats Monthly Membership is math and English. We help with the homework in the subject your child is enrolled in.
How much does homework help cost in North Vancouver and Kitsilano?
Keats Membership is $199 a month per subject for one hour a week, or $349 a month for two hours a week in the same subject, plus GST. The first step is a $34 Learning Plan Session.
Do you offer private tutoring for homework help?
Not any more. Keats ran private tutoring and shared private classes side by side for more than a year, and the shared private class gave the steadier progress. A private student leans on one tutor, and when that tutor moves on, the learning stops with them. In a Keats class your child follows a learning plan and booklets that stay the same whoever is teaching, with a tutor and a tutor assistant for every 4 to 6 students, and learns to work through a problem on their own.
