Booking, attendance and cancellation policies.

1 · Keats Monthly Membership

Both centres · same prices · billed monthly

• Billing. Membership is billed monthly, in advance, on the 1st. $199 a month per subject for one class a week, $349 a month for two classes a week in the same subject. Math and English together is $199 a month for each subject. All prices plus 5% GST. Payment is by Interac e-Transfer.
• Registration fee. Charged once per family, not per child and not per subject, before the first class. It is not credited toward membership.
• Who it is for. Students from Kindergarten to Grade 12, in math and English.
• No contract. Pause or cancel with written notice to admin@keatslearningacademy.com before the 1st and your child's seat is released. A month already started is not refunded. Come back any time.
• Your child's class. Your child has a fixed weekly class. Missed classes are not made up or credited, whatever the reason. The class is planned around your child and the seat is held for them every week.
• When Keats is closed. Keats is closed on BC statutory holidays and from December 24 to January 1. Closure dates are posted at the start of each term. If your child's class falls on a closure day, book any other class that week in the same subject at either centre. No credit is given if none of the other classes work for you. December is billed as normal.
• Changing your class time. Tell us at least one week before the new month begins and we apply the change from that month, if a seat is free at the new time.
• A written lesson note goes to parents after every class.

2 · The $34 Learning Plan Session

$34 plus GST · both centres

Every student starts here. Forty-five minutes of one-on-one tutoring with a senior Keats tutor, in one subject, and the written learning plan is gone over with you right after the session, or emailed within 24 hours. One session per child, not per family.

• Payment is by Interac e-Transfer. The session is confirmed when payment arrives.
• The session does not reserve a class time or promise a particular tutor.
• Reschedule once, at no charge, with at least 24 hours' notice. With less notice, or a no-show, the session is used.
• The $34 is not credited toward membership and is not refunded. If we cancel and cannot offer a new time within 14 days, it is refunded.

3 · Private packages bought before 1 November 2026

Honoured until used

From November 2026 Keats Monthly Membership is our main program, and private one-on-one is offered at our Kitsilano centre only. Private packages bought before 1 November 2026 are honoured until they are used or reach their expiry date, under the terms they were bought on:

• Your child keeps a regular tutor and a regular weekly time for the length of the package.
• A session can be moved with at least 24 hours' notice, to another time in the same week or to the end of the package, up to two times per package. With less notice, or a no-show, the session is used.
• Every package has a start date and a fixed expiry date, both on your account page. The package closes when the sessions run out or the expiry date arrives, whichever comes first.
• Statutory holidays: private sessions move inside the same week.
• Unused sessions can be moved once to a sibling at the same centre, before the expiry date, if that sibling has completed their own Learning Plan Session.

Private one-on-one packages (Kitsilano only) are 5 sessions at a fixed weekly time, at least once a week, and are used within 6 weeks of purchase. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice count as used.

4 · Refunds

No class or session is refundable once paid: not a Learning Plan Session, a package, or a membership month. The one exception is when Keats cancels and cannot offer a new time within 14 days. That session is then refunded to the original payment method within 7 to 14 business days.

5 · Our tutors and the centre

• Every Keats tutor is trained in the Keats learning plan system, and tutor assistants are Keats-trained.
• You are welcome to sit in on a class from time to time. Let us know in advance.
• Not happy with a tutor? Tell us straight away and we will change them. Keats may also change a tutor where we judge it better for your child, and we will tell you when we do.

6 · Material and homework

School comes first. Your child brings school homework in the subject they are enrolled in, and Keats booklets come second. Keats homework is short, built from your child's plan, and optional. If you would like less, tell us and we will adjust it.

7 · Referring a family

A thank-you gift card once the family you referred completes their first paid Keats Monthly Membership class. The Learning Plan Session does not count. Sent by email within 5 to 14 days. One reward per referred family, and no limit on how many families you refer.

Statutory holidays, 2026 to 2027

We are closed on these days, and from December 24 to January 1. If your child's class falls on a closure day, book any other class that week in the same subject at either centre.

Boxing Day and Easter Monday are not BC statutory holidays, so we are open.
