Plain-English summary. Use the site honestly, treat our tutors and materials with respect, pay your fees on time, and we'll do our part to teach your kid well. If something goes wrong, talk to us — most things are fixable.
1. Acceptance of terms
By using keatslearningacademy.com or enrolling in any Keats program, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the site or services. These Terms form a legal agreement between you and Keats Learning Academy ("Keats", "we", "us").
2. Who can enrol
Tutoring services are intended for students from kindergarten through grade 12. Enrolment must be authorized by a parent or legal guardian, who is the contracting party for billing, scheduling, and consent purposes.
3. Our services
- One-on-one and small-group tutoring in math, science, French, English, and BC curriculum subjects.
- Use of our exclusive Keats booklets during sessions and, where included, for at-home practice.
- Lesson notes and progress communication shared with parents after each session.
- Diagnostic assessments and study plans where part of the program.
4. Booking, attendance, payment and refunds
Our booking, attendance, payment and refund terms are on our Policies page: keatslearningacademy.ca/policies/. Where anything here differs, the Policies page applies.
5. Use of Keats booklets and materials
Our booklets, worksheets, lesson plans, and assessments are copyrighted intellectual property of Keats Learning Academy. They are licensed for personal, single-student use as part of an active enrolment. You may not:
- Photocopy, scan, or redistribute Keats materials beyond the enrolled student.
- Post Keats materials publicly, including on file-sharing or homework-help platforms.
- Use Keats materials to train AI models or sell tutoring services to third parties.
6. Code of conduct
We expect students, parents, and tutors to treat each other with respect. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services in cases of:
- Harassment, discrimination, or threatening behaviour.
- Repeated no-shows or non-payment.
- Misuse of Keats materials or facilities.
7. Career applications
Submitting an application via our Careers page does not create employment. Roles are filled at our discretion. Keats Learning Academy is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of any protected characteristic under the BC Human Rights Code.
8. Site terms
- The site is provided "as is". We work to keep it accurate, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.
- You agree not to scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the site or its services.
- External links are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for content on third-party sites.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by BC law, Keats's total liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the services is limited to the fees paid by you to Keats in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply in BC. The courts of British Columbia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or our services.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here, with the "last updated" date refreshed. Continued use of the services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
